Our vision and mission in Family Ministry is to see families being transformed by God as they journey together in faith, and to partner with families, providing a nurturing place where they can grow in community. We aim to do this by educating, equipping and encouraging families in every age and stage of life, so that a spiritual foundation is established in Jesus Christ.
Many people have said that because they do not have children, Family Ministries does not pertain to them! However, whether you are retired, single, married and your kids are grown, think of Family Ministry as a place where you can connect and enjoy what is going on in the life of the church. There are events, such as game nights, the annual All-Church Retreat, community service projects and holiday events to participate in.
Every year on Memorial Day weekend, people of all ages and stages in life in our church community head up to Forest Home Camp and Conference Center in Forest Falls for our All-Church Retreat. There is a keynote speaker for the weekend and a variety of fun activities to do throughout the weekend. There are cabins, dormitories, and private rooms available for accommodations for the weekend.
MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers)
If you are preschool or a kindergarten mom you are invited to come to our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program that meets every other Tuesday morning every month. Every MOPS meeting includes a guest speaker, a spiritual devotion, a craft, and fellowship with other moms. For more information please contact Christina Chambers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
While you are at MOPS, a special program is offered for your preschooler called "Moppets." This program has fun-filled activities and games for your preschooler so that you can enjoy your morning out with other moms. Nursery care is also available for infants.
