GIVING

Thank you for helping First Presbyterian fulfill its mission and vision. Through your tithes and offerings, we are able to support the work of Christ in the San Fernando Valley, greater Los Angeles, and around the world.

Financial stewardship is based on the spiritual principles of the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus. As we give thanks for our blessings and have hope for all that is to come in the future, we offer the Lord our best. We offer Him our time, our talents, and our treasure.

GIVING F.A.Q.

Q: What is the church's position about using credit cards for online giving?

Giving by credit card is offered as a convenience. Although many pay off their credit cards each month, many also do not. We do not encourage anyone to go into debt and pay interest on gifts given to the church. If using a credit card, please use it wisely by paying it off monthly to avoid accruing debt.

Q: What payment method options can I choose from?

The First Pres Giving Program is configured to accept direct payments from checking or savings accounts, as well as credit card payments from Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

Q: How often will payments be pulled from my account?

The program can be configured to pull funds from your account at a frequency that's right for you. You can set up a monthly recurring payment at a date of your convenience or make a one time payment.

Q: How can I get a record of my giving?

You can request a giving statement from the church office at any time. This statement will cover both your automated giving as well as any other offerings you give. Your online giving will also appear in your regular quarterly statement that the finance office emails you.

Q: Can I test this system by giving one time?

Yes. There is an option to give a one time gift. This is a great way to better understand how the system works.

Q: I've signed up for the automated giving program but would like to change my preferences or need to stop. How do I do this?

You can make changes at any time by using the "edit giving profile" button. Once you login you can change any of your preferences or stop your automated giving. If you have any trouble please feel free to e-mail the finance office at finance@fpcgh.org or call the church at 818.360.1831.

Q: I still have more questions. Who should I talk to?

Don't hesitate to call or e-mail us with any questions. For issues related to your giving, you may reach the finance office by e-mail at finance@fpcgh.org or by calling the church at 818.360.1831.
