Blended Worship
9:00 to about 10:30 every Sunday morning

The 9:00 a.m. Sunday worship service is called a blended one because the congregational singing is a combination of traditional hymns accompanied by the organ and contemporary praise songs led by the Worship Team.

Cathedral Choir

 

The Cathedral Choir leads in hymn singing, the sung introits, the anthem, and music for special occasions. They are accompanied by the 1982 Rosalas Opus 9 Tracker Organ. Click for more on the Choir.

Special Music

     
Mariana, our super-accomplished organist /pianist, plays preludes and offertories, and accompanies the hymns and anthems. Many gather around for the organ postlude which amounts to a mini-organ concert/recital every Sunday. Listen

Rituals




Confession & Pardon

Sung and silent prayers of confession are prayed and pardon is declared.

 

 

Prayers of the People

Joys, cares, and concerns of congregants are brought in person. Prayer is offered. Pastoral prayer concludes with corporate praying of the Lord's prayer.

Scripture

Old and New Testament passages relevant to the sermon of the day are read. Pew Bibles are available.

 

Celebration of the Lord's Supper
Communion is celebrated once a month. Elements are passed by ordained Elders and Deacons. All professed Christians are welcome to partake.

Time for Young Disciples

Children's sermons are an integral part of worship service and are related to the adult sermon to be delivered later after the children are escorted to their classrooms or childcare for Sunday School.

Ministry of the Word

Challenging sermons are delivered by our pastor, associate pastor, pastors assistant, and an occasional guest minister or missionary. Audio recordings of the sermons are available online and on CD by request to the Church Office.
